Real estate in Turkey. July statistics
Home sales in Turkey increased by 124% over the year.
Turkish Finance Minister Berat Albayrak said that a record for real estate sales in Turkey was broken in July.
This was due to a strong decrease in mortgage rates for citizens of the country.
According to the minister, the country's construction sector continues to develop intensively. In July, home sales hit an all-time high and broke a historic record.
On the other hand, home sales to foreigners fell 34.6 percent from July last year to 2,741.
In terms of home sales to foreigners, Istanbul took the first place with 466 transactions per month.
Istanbul was followed by Antalya with 615 sales, Ankara with 230 sales, Mersin and Yalova.
